Hilton Birmingham Metropole Stregthens Food And Beverage With New Appointments

BIRMINGHAM, UK -  Hilton Birmingham Metropole is pleased to announce the new appointment of Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager to the large residential and conference hotel based at the NEC.

Paul Taylor, 44, assumes the role of Executive Chef on July 5 after 19 years at Hilton London Metropole. Paul’s role will manage the delivery, co-ordination and execution of meals for some of the finest events and conferences within the UK. The hotel regularly hosts events for up to 2000 delegates and with a brigade of over 60 chefs, Paul will be responsible for developing not only the cuisine within the hotel but also the training of his staff.

Amit Jaitly, 32, joins the hotel from Hilton Treetops in Aberdeen, and is tasked with reinvigorating the food and beverage operation of the 3 restaurants and 24 hour bar located on site. Amit has worked for Hilton for over five years, and within the hospitality industry for 13 years, first as a management trainee then moving into different operations roles. He brings a wealth of experience to the hotel’s outlets from his time working in both the UK and India.
