London Hilton On Park Lane Redesigns Its Chocolate Afternoon Tea With An Arty Twist

LONDON - Famed for its quirky and stylish afternoon teas, London Hilton on Park Lane has redesigned its Confessions of a Chocoholic afternoon tea with a deliciously arty twist. Inspired by some of the greatest modern artists of our lifetime, the tea is modelled on works by the likes of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Guests will also have the chance to become artists themselves, decorating and adorning elements of the tea with their own designs and edible glaze.

The new afternoon tea, created by executive chef, Anthony Marshall, and pastry chef, Emmanuel Bonneau, includes delectable treats such as a geometric Piet Mondrian iced biscuit, a dotted rainbow lolly taking a lead from Damien Hirst, and a mini lemon and raisin cheesecake with a van Gogh sunflower chocolate print.

As well as the miniature masterpieces themselves, guests will be encouraged to let their creative juices flow, with an orange marmalade 'paint tube' to decorate and transform freshly baked cupcakes and scones. The afternoon tea also comes with a selection of traditional open sandwiches and a wide range of loose leaf teas, with the sweets served on a solid chocolate, edible painter's palette, for added indulgence.

As a proud member of The Tea Guild, Podium's afternoon tea is recognised as offering an exceptional standard of tea service. The new afternoon tea is available at Podium Restaurant and Bar from 2.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. daily, priced at £32.50 per person. A Pommery Champagne variation is also available at £40.50 per person.
