Miss England 2011 Boot Camp Hits Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, UK - Miss and Mr England contestants compete to find out just who is the fittest of them all. Held at Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the girls and boys were put through their paces by three serving British soldiers to determine who would be crowned Miss and Mr Sportsman 2011.

On the day, Jade Williams – Miss Stratford-upon-Avon who works as a fitness instructor – was named Miss Sportswoman and Aaron Whitnall, a zoo keeper from Hertfordshire, was named Mr Sportsman. As a reward, both will receive a LivingWell membership in their local LivingWell club.

The 61 female finalists will then meet again for the two day Miss England event on the 18th & 19th July at Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The first day will have an eco-friendly themed fashion and hair show on the evening of the 18th, starting at 8pm with the Miss England finalists dressed in recycled clothing .The outfits worn on the catwalk will have been sourced and made by the girls themselves from charity shops, recycled materials or been handed down to them from family. The judges who include Dragon’s Den star Richard Farleigh and former Miss England Sally Kettle will be meeting the girls during the event and will choose Miss Eco girl who will also be fast tracked through to the final 15 on the final night.

The 14 Mr England finalists will also compete on the 19th July for the prestigious male title.
