WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Transforming the landscape of downtown West Palm Beach, the highly anticipated Hilton West Palm Beach is set to open in early 2016. Palm Beach County, The City of West Palm Beach and Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) have collaborated with developer, Related Companies, to conceptualize and deliver an innovative, immersive hotel experience for locals and visitors alike.

The new 12-story hotel will feature 400 generous guestrooms, including 33 suites, designed by Miami-based architectural firm Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates and Dallas-based interior design firm Looney and Associates. The striking new architectural icon features a double height grand lobby with views of the defining hotel feature, the Palm Deck. Accentuated by an expansive pool, private cabanas outfitted with Restoration Hardware furnishings, and a poolside bar and fire pit, the action-packed, half-acre outdoor deck will welcome renowned DJ talent delivering Mediterranean vibes. The hotel will also feature a signature restaurant and cuisine led by celebrated Palm Beach Chef Matthew Byrne.

"We're creating a hotel that boasts a distinctive personality and cultural experience for West Palm Beach along with the personalized service for which we're known," says Kenneth Himmel, president and CEO of Related Urban, the mixed-use division of Related Companies. "Located within the epicenter of downtown, the hotel will add unparalleled ambiance, service and culinary fare to the Palm Beaches."

Related Companies was the driving force behind CityPlace, the 72-acre mixed-use public/private partnership with the City of West Palm Beach which has been a catalyst for the transformation of downtown West Palm Beach.  Located directly across the street from CityPlace, Hilton West Palm Beach guests will enjoy access to over 60 specialty retail shops, a distinguished collection of restaurants and bars and an open-air plaza with a distinctive water feature with dancing fountains.

"Ever since Related, the County and the City began master planning CityPlace 20 years ago, our vision has always included a bustling convention center with a connected flagship hotel.  It's amazing to see the final piece come to fruition at a time when there is tremendous excitement in West Palm Beach," added Himmel.

"The development of the hotel is great example of a public/private partnership that has been a true collaboration between Related, Hilton, Palm Beach County and the City of West Palm Beach.  Without the commitment and support from the County and City, a project of this caliber and quality would not have been possible," says Gopal Rajegowda, vice president of Related Urban.

"We are building a genuine West Palm Beach experience and tapping into the local talent base to foster a true sense of place for the community," said General Manager John L. Parkinson. "Hilton West Palm Beach will be the place to socialize, enjoy refined meals and experience the destination to its fullest for locals, convention goers and guests alike."

The hotel redefines the urban lifestyle hotel experience for Palm Beach. The property is located in the epicenter of the city's cultural offerings with The Kravis Center for Performing Arts, The Norton Museum of Art, Clematis Street and the entertainment district all within a short walk of the hotel while the area's notable attractions such as Palm Beach and Worth Avenue are easily accessible.

Each of the guestrooms at Hilton West Palm Beach serves as a respite from the buzz of the hotel. Drawing inspiration from the ocean, accommodations feature innovative flourishes utilizing natural woods and contrasted neutrals with bright blue, gold and teal which reflect the artist community of Palm Beach.

The hotel will be a great draw for meetings and events where a panel of experts will provide various programs for team building, technology and special amenities to support maximum productivity during sessions. Conveniently located adjacent and connected to The Palm Beach County Convention Center via a private entrance, the property boasts over 24,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including the 13,350 sq. ft. Grand Ballroom and the 5,800 sq. ft. Junior Ballroom. The hotel exterior includes two 2,400 sq. ft. expansive lawn spaces for weddings, special events and fitness programming. Groups can also utilize nearby off-site venues such as the new artfully designed Restoration Hardware showroom to use for small events and meetings.
