Hilton Tokyo Bay Appoints Neil McInnes As General Manager

URAYASU, CHIBA, Japan - Hilton Tokyo Bay announced the appointment of Neil McInnes as General Manager effective April 20, 2015.

McInnes has nearly 20 years of experience with Hilton Worldwide. He has worked as regional director of revenue management for Japan, Korea and Micronesia and developed an understanding of the hotel market in the region, including contributions to revenue expansion in Japan. Prior to that, McInnes has served as cluster director of business development for Hilton Tokyo and Conrad Tokyo, while fulfilling the role of executive assistant manager for Conrad Tokyo. Before moving to Japan in 2010, McInnes also held executive positions at Hilton Sydney as director of business development, revenue manager and front office manager and at Hilton Glasgow as front office manager, where he also achieved head of department at the age of 22 years old.

Assuming his new responsibility as General Manager at Hilton Tokyo Bay, McInnes said, "The Japan market will expect increasing demand for leisure and business travelers because of Tokyo's 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hilton Tokyo Bay has steadily gone through refurbishments of guest rooms and banqueting facilities and continues to grow to be able to provide state-of-the-art equipment as well as offer excellent service for guests' comfortable stay. Being appointed to the hotel which keeps changing dynamically, I feel extremely honored and excited to be part of this development."

Hilton Tokyo Bay completed the refurbishment of its banquet floor on its second level in 2014 and has also announced the beginning of renovations to the guest rooms on the sixth and seventh levels (planned to be completed in early June 2016). As a new General Manager, McInnes will not only take over the implementation of the renewal project, but also will exert himself to hotel management to assist in further accommodating guests' ever diversifying needs.
