Hilton Manchester Deansgate Unveils The Zacapa Experience
Available Exclusively In The UK At Cloud 23

MANCHESTER, England - Hilton Manchester Deansgate has unveiled a unique new pairing of food with cocktails, which is available exclusively in the UK at its landmark champagne and cocktail bar, Cloud 23.
The Zacapa Experience includes three rum cocktails matched to tasting plates split into three areas (starter, main course and dessert) to represent the courses of a meal. The exclusive Zacapa cocktails have been designed by the Cloud 23 team in association with executive head chef, David Gale, who has created the complementary culinary offerings.
John McLaughlin, general manager, Hilton Manchester Deansgate, said, "We are delighted that Diageo has chosen Cloud 23 as the exclusive UK location for the unique Zacapa Experience. They are already the exclusive partner for the VIP Lounge, Zeus 23, at Cloud 23, with their premium Ron Zacapa Centenario rum brand so this the ideal extension of that partnership."
The food and cocktail menu for the Zacapa Experience will be refreshed on a monthly basis and will include tempting taster plates such as salted almonds, smoked in front of the diners, accompanied by a cocktail made by blending Zacapa rum, Averna, Tio Pepe, Antiqua Formula, maraschino liqueur and orange bitters. Followed by peppered chorizo and feta cheese with crusty bread, char-grilled at the table, washed down with a cocktail made from Zacapa rum, sherry syrup, yuzu juice and whisky aged bitters. The experience is completed with caramel popcorn and chocolate covered Zacapa rum raisins, served with a dessert cocktail made from Zacapa rum, home-made ginger syrup, home-made lemon sherbet and cherry syrup.

Zacapa rum is made two thousand three hundred metres up in the mountains of Guatemala at our cool highland distillery and Cloud 23 is situated on the 23rd floor of Manchester's tallest building."

Ron Zacapa Centenario rum is created through a unique fusion of place and time. It is distilled from virgin Guatemalan sugar cane honey, and slow-matured through a solera system in the cool Guatemalan Highland distillery, dubbed the house in the clouds by the locals. It delivers an incomparable sweet smoothness and complexity of flavour.
