Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5 To Offer ‘Skype-Time Stories’ Service For Hotel Guests

LONDON - Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is today launching a pilot scheme designed to allow hotel guests to keep in touch with their kids whilst away on business trips.
The innovative service known as ‘Skype-time stories’ will provide guests staying at the luxury airport hotel with access to a range of children’s books and free in-room WiFi to ensure they can fulfil their nightly story time routine whilst away from home.
The service is launching today, to coincide with National Children’s Book Week (3-9th October), and hotel management are hoping the selection of books that will be available from concierge will encourage parents to read with their kids more often and help business travellers stay close to their children when away from home.
Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 general manager Greg Place, commented, “We know that seasoned business travellers can sometimes feel that they miss out on valuable family bonding time whilst they’re away from home, however with modern technology this needn’t be the case anymore. We are hoping that ‘Skype-time stories’ will help business travellers spend quality time with their families when they’re on the move and ensure that the kids get their nightly bed time story.”

Located just over a mile from Heathrow’s airport’s Terminal 5 building, the hotel boasts 350 bedrooms set within 13 acres of landscaped grounds and provides upscale accommodation for leisure and business guests travelling through the airport or visiting the hotel as a destination of its own. The hotel can accommodate up to 1170 events guests in 926 square metres of conference space, designed for lavish gala evenings or global conferences. Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 also welcomes weddings for up to 800 guests in its Gallery Rooms, with the surrounding landscaped gardens providing a beautiful backdrop.
