Hilton Guam Resort & Spa Celebrates 40 Years In 2012

TUMON BAY, Guam - The first international five-star hotel on Guam, Hilton Guam Resort & Spa, will celebrate 40 years on the island in 2012 with a schedule of exceptional special events, contests and promotions.

Hilton Guam Resort & Spa first opened on February 17, 1972, a milestone in the development of tourism on Guam and in the expansion of the Hilton chain. Through the years, Hilton Guam Resort & Spa has doubled its room inventory; opened an array of memorable restaurants; and built new recreational facilities - all while extending gracious island hospitality to all guests.

To kick off the celebration, the hotel will be conducting a special Anniversary BMW Raffle drawing in which guests will be able to win a new luxury car and many other great prizes.

During the celebration, the hotel will host an Anniversary Gala Dinner with visiting guest chefs; open a 40th Anniversary Museum Gallery with historic photos and memories on display; and host a surprise concert. Creative room, restaurant and bar promotions will be offered through the year. At each event, Hilton will also be recognizing legendary current and former staff members and its community partners.
