BRISBANE, Australia - Hilton Brisbane has welcomed Chris Partridge as its new General Manager. Partridge replaces Ronald Van Weezel who has relocated to Hilton Sydney after a successful 16 months in Brisbane.

Chris Partridge brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent 25 years with Hilton Worldwide. Chris began his career in Food and Beverage in London at Gatwick Hilton, followed by the prestigious London Hilton on Park Lane. Moving to Australia, he then worked in various roles in both Sydney and Melbourne before becoming General Manager at Hilton Melbourne Airport. This was followed by a move to New Zealand as General Manager for Hilton Auckland and opening of Hilton Lake Taupo. Subsequently returning to Australia's Gold Coast where he spent two years successfully managing Hilton Surfers Paradise.

Chris has joined Hilton Brisbane just in time for the re-launch of a number of leisure facilities throughout the hotel. "2015 is a particularly exciting year for us, as we prepare to unveil the refurbished pool terrace, a new and modern event space; Victoria's, and the refurbished rooftop tennis court. These are the final pieces of the $37 million refurbishment which has transformed this property into a stunning contemporary hotel".

The Brisbane restaurant and bar scene has really emerged the last couple of years and now has a well established reputation for offering tremendous cultural experiences, making for a truly international city. "Hilton Brisbane is the city's only hotel which boasts a hatted restaurant, Vintaged Bar + Grill. I am committed to continuing to enhance the dining experiences of our guests and ensuring the hotel is a key part in the evolution of Brisbane".
